Filtering & Searching Jobs
Summary
Filtering and searching jobs lets subcontractors narrow down available work in the Job Connector based on location and trade, so you’re only seeing jobs that are relevant to your crew.
What This Is
The job search feature helps subcontractors find open job opportunities posted by general contractors that match:
- Your service area
- Your trade
- Your availability
It keeps results focused and avoids dumping irrelevant jobs into your feed.
How Job Search Works
To search for jobs, you must enter all three required fields:
- Country
- Location (manual entry)
- Trade (single trade only)
Once all three are selected, click Search to view matching jobs.
Jobs are shown based on your selected location, not your live GPS position.
How Results Are Displayed
Search results appear in a list showing:
- Job title
- Company name
- Job location
- Trade badge
- Time posted
Jobs are automatically sorted by newest first.
There are currently no manual sorting or filtering controls.
How This Fits Into Job Connector
After you find and interact with jobs, they will appear under different Job Connector views:
- Open Bids – Jobs you’re actively bidding on
- Requests – Jobs you requested to bid on or haven’t been approved for yet
- Closed Bids – Jobs that have been awarded or closed
- Passed – Jobs you intentionally passed on
Job Search vs Instant Job Matching
Manual search lets you actively look for jobs.
BuilderPal Instant Job Matching automatically sends relevant jobs directly to you based on:
- Your location
- Your trade
- Your service area
This is a BuilderPal Pro feature.
