Navigate Your Projects

Summary

This tutorial explains how to find, search for, and switch between your projects in BuilderPal. It's helpful for quickly accessing the right project dashboard and managing multiple jobs efficiently.

Prerequisites

  • Role or permission needed: Any team member with access to at least one project (e.g., Admin GC, Team Project Manager, Team Member).
  • Any setup required: Log in to your BuilderPal account.

Steps

  1. Access the Projects List (clear action)

    ○ Instruction: From the main dashboard or sidebar, click the Projects tab or icon to view your list of available projects.

    ○ Screenshot: Insert immediately after the step to show the UI.

  1. Search for a Project

    ○ Instruction: Use the search bar at the top to enter keywords like project name, address, or ID; results will filter in real-time.

    ○ Instruction: Click on the desired project from the list to open its dashboard; use filters like status or date if the list is long.

Tips

  • Pro tip: Pin frequently used projects to the top of your list for faster access.
  • Shortcut: Use keyboard shortcuts (e.g., Ctrl+P) to jump to the projects search from anywhere in the app.

  • Use Mobile Screens when showing field tasks (time tracking, punch lists, messaging, approvals, uploads). Contractors are most likely to follow along on their phone.

  • Use Desktop Screens when showing office-side tasks (project setup, team management, finance, permissions, cost codes). These are clearer on larger screens.
