Editing Offline

Summary

BuilderPal allows you to continue working offline—creating tasks, logging time, adding notes, and editing documents—and automatically syncs everything once you regain an internet connection.

Prerequisites

  • Role or permission needed: Any team member
  • Any setup required: Log in to BuilderPal at least once (offline mode is automatically enabled)

Steps

1. Go Offline

  • Instruction: Turn on Airplane Mode or disconnect from Wi-Fi on your device.
  • Screenshot: Insert immediately after this step to show the app in offline mode or the connection indicator.

2. Keep Working as Normal

  • Instruction:
Continue working in BuilderPal as usual. You can:

    • Create tasks
    • Log time
    • Add notes
    • Upload photos
    • Edit documents

BuilderPal will save all changes locally while you’re offline.

3. Reconnect to the Internet

  • Instruction: Turn off Airplane Mode or reconnect to Wi-Fi. All offline changes will automatically sync once a connection is restored.

Confirmation

“You’ll know it worked when the sync icon completes and your offline changes appear for the whole team.”

Tips

  • Pro tip: Always check the sync status in the top bar before logging out to make sure everything has synced.
  • Shortcut: No extra steps are required—offline mode works automatically in the background.
